Welcome to the Mid Canterbury Aero Club, proudly serving the Ashburton district and wider aviation community since 1974. Based at Ashburton Airfield, our club offers unparalleled access to some of the most spectacular scenery, with the Southern Alps and Canterbury Plains our backyard. It is the perfect location for both seasoned pilots and those just beginning their flying journey.

Our club offers a comprehensive range of flight training services, including Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) as well as Mountain Flying and Aerobatics training. Our reliable fleet of Piper aircraft combined with quality flight instruction and modern facilities ensures you receive the highest level of training in a supportive environment.
